how to set windows explorer default startup folder?

By default, Windows Explorer always opens to My Documents folder. You can change the default by doing the following:
1. Right click on the Windows Explorer.

2. Click Properties.

3, In the Target box, type (or replace the existing text with) the following:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e, c:\yourfolder

4. Click OK.

The following are some commonly-used options:

------------------------------------------------------------------
Option Function
------------------------------------------------------------------
/n Opens a new single-pane window for the default
selection. This is usually the root of the drive that
Windows is installed on. If the window is already
open, a duplicate opens.

/e Opens Windows Explorer in its default view.

/root Opens a window view of the specified object.

/select Opens a window view with the specified folder, file,
or program selected.
