How to disable internet explorer click sound?

The clicking sound that Windows plays when you click on a link in Internet Explorer or open a folder in Windows Explorer can get really annoying. The following are the steps to get rid of it.

 
1. Start --> Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Devices.

2. Select the Sound tab.

3. Scroll down to the section for Windows Explorer.

4. Click the event called "Start Navigation," and change the setting to "none" from the dropdown box.

5. Click OK to apply the change.
