The default software setup directory for Windows is C:\Program Files directory. You can change the default directory of software installation to other location such as e:\Program Files. In this way, you can easily back up all your software program files. The following are the steps to follow:
1. Click Start button
2. Click Run
3. Type Regedit
4 Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
5. In right side panel, double click on ProgramFileDir.
6. Modify the value to other location, for example, E:\Program Files.
7. Close the registry editor and restart
